Mission Statement

The Resource Training Center, Inc. is a not-for-profit 501 (c) (3)

Supporting the professionalism of the field of chemical dependency through providing the highest quality of training in alcoholism and substance abuse for those choosing to serve addicted individuals and their families.

By encouraging these workers in the field to pursue OASAS-approved CASAC credentials, we seek to validate their dedicated efforts as helpers while insuring qualitative treatment for those struggling with the effects of chemical dependency.

WHAT WE DO?

We offer support services to individuals who may experience difficulty gaining employment due to their history of alcohol and drug use, incarceration related to addictions, or complications related to addictive disorders within the family. Our training and vocational counseling  allows individuals who are ineligible to receive governmental employment assistance to complete a state-approved training program and gain the experience to take the examination to become Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselors.

WHO SHOULD CONSIDER THIS TRAINING?

Substance abuse professionals, health care professionals, social workers,  psychologists, school counselors, EAP and union professionals, human  resource workers, prevention/intervention workers, clergy, faith-based  counselors, individuals in recovery, as well as those that are not.

THE BENEFITS OF THE CASAC CREDENTIAL

The Resource Training Center, Inc. is not a treatment program. The entire focus of the institute is in providing appropriate and qualitative education and training. As a part of this focus, a number of treatment agencies have become part of our Internship Referral Service, developed solely for our students who have successfully completed the training program. We provide internship/job placement referrals which are tailored to the needs of sponsoring agencies as well as those of the students. The Resource Training Center, Inc. also has special customized trainings to meet your agency needs.
